ABOUT ERIC DEMETER
Eric has traveled and ministered in fifty countries. His passion is to change hearts towards Christ through Bible-centric teaching and to create opportunities for the marginalized around the world. After working in IT and business for ten years, Eric now ministers with YWAM in Athens, Greece. He teaches healthy communication, conflict resolution, and relationships to churches and YWAM bases around the world.
Eric has the knowledge to help you solve conflict and the heart to see people communicate well. His teaching is biblical, practical, interactive, and participants will be able to immediately apply the concepts they’ve learned in everyday work settings.
Eric specializes in teaching and writing about conflict resolution, dating, and healthy relationships. He has taught church leaders, nonprofit workers, and missionaries in New Zealand, Greece, Hungary, Romania, and the United States. Eric earned a B.S. from Purdue University in Interdisciplinary Science and an M.A. from Bethel College in Theological Studies. He also went further training in conflict resolution at the University of Denver and Peacemaker Ministries

My book: How Should a Christian Date?
Many dating books discuss who to date, but I teach you how to date. Christian dating is not a one-size-fits-all strategy. You must find what works for you. The Lord gives us boundaries to date within, but leaves it up to us and our culture to determine the specifics.
The princples I teach are Bible-based, timeless, and you can use them instantly in your search for a spouse. As a single man or woman, you’ll make better dating decisions and experience less pain in the future.
It’s also entertaining. You might even let out a giggle or snort as you read it.
The Bible doesn’t discuss dating because men and women didn’t date thousands of years ago, but this book takes the best of biblical wisdom and combines it with the relevant information from relationship experts. You’ll get a comprehensive and insightful book to help you find a date and date better.
How Should a Christian Date? is unique because I didn’t become a Christian until I was twenty-one. I pulled from these vastly different backgrounds as I outlined the topics for this project. The pain from my parent’s divorce also fueled my thought process, along with the desire for the book to be research-based and biblically sound.
