Poem: Crossroads

crossroads

Crossroads ahead
Which way do I turn?
Each road seems open
How do I confirm?

Theologically speaking
We should trust in the Lord
Trite and true
But I need to do it more

Practically speaking
I must find an answer in sight
Traffic is building
I need a “left” or a “right”!

Emotionally speaking
I don’t want to fret
But my indecision
Will soon cause a wreck!

Then over and over
I settle and pray
Until God finally speaks
To show me the way

Then a new road appears
Built by Him just for me
Not sure where it leads
Faith invites me to see
